Suspended prison sentence for unsafe towing
A driver has been given a suspended prison sentence - after was spotted towing a 40ft long American-style caravan with a Land Rover along the M62 near Huddersfield.
The driver was charged with dangerous driving for the incident in February 2010 and was given a nine month prison sentence suspended for 18 months, 250 hours of community service and ordered to pay costs of £2000. He was further banned from driving for two years and ordered to take an extended driving test at the end of the disqualification.
